MUSIC MINISTRY
Worship forms God’s people, and music is a primary part of the people’s liturgical worship. We invite the congregation to join in song to be formed together and to join the ranks of angels and saints around God’s throne who do the same! A combination of hymns and modern songs will be sung throughout the service to bring together a meaningful blend of diverse stories and voices into common worship. Read more below about the Anglican tradition of music and how you can incorporate more music throughout your worship during the week.

What does music look like in the Anglican tradition?
“The core reality of Anglican worship is that music supports and fits into the liturgy and not the other way around. That is, the liturgy is primary, it is the order that guides our worship, and music is secondary in that it must fit the tone and themes given by the Prayer Book order. Thus the music of the church may joyfully remain in the service of worship and not become an end in itself. With this in mind, musicians offer their gifts to God and his people in producing beautiful music.” — The Anglican Pastor, “Music in Worship”
How can I incorporate Music throughout the week?
Music is a great way to connect with God amongst the hustle and bustle of the everyday. Whether it’s when you pray the Daily Office, come together in formation groups, or you’re just stuck in traffic, there are so many ways to refocus your time on God through music. Below you will find songs that can be sung during the daily office and formation groups. You can also find our Spotify account here, where you can listen to a playlist for every season of the liturgical year (perfect for those long car rides). No matter where you are, or what time of day it is, music is a great way to worship the Lord!
