Spike Douglass

Spike was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, and moved to Doha, Qatar when he was 9, where he spent the rest of his childhood. Spike grew up in the Anglican church, first in an Episcopal church in Las Vegas, then a Church of England congregation in Doha, and found his way to the ACNA in college through his parents’ church.

Music has always been a major part of Spike’s faith journey. His parents met in the church choir, and musical worship has been a staple in his family ever since. In high school, Spike became one of the worship music leaders in his church youth group, which is also where he met his wife, Nasya, who looks forward to helping as a music volunteer.

Growing up in the Anglican church, but going to a non-denominational youth group, Spike has a deep appreciation of a wide variety of worship styles, from ancient hymns to modern hits. He aims to bring a healthy mix of worship styles in hopes that everyone can find their place within the music at Corpus Christi.

When not behind the piano, you can find Spike helping out all over the church, with youth minstry, men’s ministry, acolyte, chalice bearer, or any other help the church may need. Outside Corpus Christi, Spike enjoys spending time in nature, playing board games, and exploring DC and Northern Virginia with Nasya.
