We will have a Vestry...What is that?!
The Vestry is composed of lay members (except for the Rector/Vicar) who oversee the temporal affairs of the church. It is not an elder board, it is not just a financial or building committee, it is a governing board that cares deeply about ensuring that the temporal realities of the church’s life align with the spiritual direction of the church as set by the Rector (or in our case the Vicar).
How we Keep Organized: Planning Center Online
One of the great joys of worshipping as an Anglican is the ways that the service is so participatory. When we look at the many of the service roles that make up a Sunday morning (reading, greeting, setting up, A/V, children’s ministry, etc), we can see how challenging this can be to organize. To keep track of these things we use Planning Center Online Services.

Summer Internship Reflection
The summer at Corpus Christi gave me an imagination for the future that is grounded in lived experience. As I helped with administrative tasks, participated in Sunday services and church events, and even got to preach, I found that many of the things that I had dreamt of doing were not only real parts of ministry, but also things that I enjoyed doing.
